Dancing Across the USA 13 - Bardstown

We had a great day with Steve & Pattie. Out in the country to the Maker's Mark distillery. Just like a park, with all the offices, distilling houses, and shipping facilities presented like structures from 100 years ago.

Maker's Mark in Loretto, Kentucky
Fulfilling a fantasy there, Tom was able to dip his own bottle in the wax. Finished like a professional.  After that we went to the tasting room to sample some of their wares.

After, we went into Bardstown, where so many of the buildings in the old town were restored. We cruised past "My Old Kentucky Home," and went into the Talbot Tavern for lunch. Fried green tomatoes in Jan's BLT.

Back to the house, took a little nap, and we went out to Cousin Brenda & Henry's for a terrific dinner. They treat you right in Kentucky.
