Dancing Across the USA 26 - Hoover Dam and Las Vegas

We just love a breakfast buffet - don't you? South Point Casino's comes with unlimited Bloody Mary's. Only had one though. And Spam! (first time in 20 years Tom has eaten Spam). After breakfast, we drove back down to the Hoover Dam.

Hoover Dam from the new bridge

We took the short hike up to the walkway, to view the dam from the new bridge across the Colorado River. Glad we did it first thing in the morning because it got to 100 degrees later. We did go down to park and view from the old perspective, too. It's only June, and the water level is really low.

Headed back into town to cruise down the strip.  The usual suspects were already out and about.

New York, New York

Sarah suggested we take a look at the Wynn, so we stopped in. Just beautiful. Not a place for families, more adult than the others. And, that waterfall, pretty amazing.

Floor at the Wynn was incredible mosaic inlay

A short drive later, and we were at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Tom had a ball and Jan had a ball watching him.

A homage to Tom's misspent youth.  Not much to look at from the outside

We had planned to see "Jersey Boys" again, but opted for an afternoon and evening at "home" to get ready for a long drive tomorrow. Jan took the opportunity to come away with the $100 that Tom provided when we hit town. Not doing the math, just going with the feeling she won a hundred bucks!

Heading north after we go a little south tomorrow - one last souvenir shopping opportunity awaits...
