Dancing Across the USA 22 - Albuquerque

We drove north out of Carlsbad this morning. Our route took us back through Roswell, then up to Albuquerque. Along the way, we made a pit stop at Cline's - a combination truck stop, gift shop & Subway that has been on Route 66 since the 1930's. Big, big place with lots of business.

A world record for Route 66 trinkets

It wasn't a long driving day, so we made it into town about noon. It's so nice when a hotel will let us check in early (like 4 hours early). Kudos to First Tech Credit Union. We have a wonderful room in ABQ for 3 days because of their rewards program. And, the Hyatt Uptown deserves a shout out as well.

Wet bar and computer station in our room

Out into the 105 degree heat to various addresses we'd found for some of our favorite Breaking Bad locations. Not just because our car was filthy, we first went to the A1A car wash.

Remember Bogdan, as-is

We were sad and happy at the same time to see Jane's duplex. Then, to Saul Goodman's office, now a sports bar. More BrBa tomorrow.

Dinner had to be at the Mexican restaurant (Gardunos) where the Whites and the Schraders met to negotiate. However, we had the guacamole made at the table. Great food, some came back to the room with us.

Garduno's, about three blocks from our hotel

Tom even gave it a try.
