We accepted this morning's mission to get out of town before the sun came up to avoid Monday morning traffic in ABQ. We had a long driving day ahead and got started about 4:30ish. Yawn.
We were back on I-40, heading west. Into the wild, wild west.

We did stop into the visitors center at the Petrified Forest National Park, to look at a piece of petrified wood and to figure out what time it was.

Stopped for lunch to get some good burgers, Dude.

Then on to Vegas. It's all just as we left it a couple of years ago. However, the
South Point has done an extensive remodel in the casino area. Terrific sports book now and some more eating venues. It is still our favorite place in Vegas.
