Dancing Across the USA 23 - Bandelier & Los Alamos

A beautiful morning here, air-wise. What a nice city Albuquerque is. Out on the highway north to Santa Fe and Los Alamos. It's green here, and the scenery is so incredible. Plateaus galore.

High in the Jemez Mountains

We went up to Bandelier National Monument first (Bradbury Science Museum didn't open until later.) Detour to the monument proved to be the best thing that could have happened. Just over 7100 feet above sea level, a cool breeze, and a shuttle service combined for the smoothest experience.

 A one mile loop trail up to cliff dwellings, etc. was a nice walk. Glad we did it.

The Bradbury Museum was good for the history of the Manhattan Project and the defeat of the Japanese to end WWII.

Getting back down to Santa Fe, we did a slow drive through Canyon Drive - a collection of galleries and studios for sculpture, oils, and many other artsy things.

A cool drive, but so many twists & turns, could not have gotten back without the trusty Garmin. Then another drive back to ABQ, then nuked some leftovers for dinner in tonight.

So, history, technology, art, technology, automotive splendor, and more technology.
