Dancing Across the USA 28 - Headin' Home

Last day.  We have made the trip from Corning to Oak Grove dozens of times, so there are very few surprises. Except this one:

What's that stuff on the windshield?

After a month of great, dry weather in the 80's and 90's and 100's, it was a bit of a shock to get into rain and 48 degrees.  We finally got to use the sweater and fleece that have been sitting in the back seat since we left home.

20 states in 28 days.  Ohio and Mississippi shouldn't count, but we will anyway.

Final mileage for the trip

So 28 days, 20 states, 10 t-shirts, 5 tiles, 30 refrigerator magnets, and 7,500 miles. We have a lot to be thankful for on this trip; Good weather, good roads (except Arkansas, sorry) good accommodations and good company.  In addition we would also like to thank:

The United States Government for providing seniors with free passes to all national parks and monuments. In our opinion, a more worthwhile governmental expense than building another aircraft carrier.

Hotels.com for making the booking process (and the several changes) quick and easy.

Garmin GPS for allowing us to find our way home, regardless of  how lost we got.

So long for now.  We are already looking forward to Maui in March.
