Dancing Across the USA 8 - Chicago Day 2

Like everyone else, we need more beans in our life. This morning we walked into Millennium Park for the bean experience. A beautiful, peaceful place in the city.

Official name: CloudScape  Chicago nickname:  The Bean
Fun with Reflections at the Bean
We found our dock for the architectural boat tour at the foot of Trump Tower. Lots of shiny surface, very little substance (Trump-wise).

The boat tour was wonderful, the weather was great, and the 1000 students on board had a ball right along with us. Such a beautiful city, a beautiful lake experience.

Our boat tour guide, Mike, advised us to go for the best hot dogs in the city - Portello's. Great dogs & beers in an experience like we haven't ever had.

Best Hot Dogs and Polish on the planet

Mike also told us about the Sky Terrace bar at the top of the John Hancock building.  So while we were walking the Magnificent Mile, we stopped in for a drink on the 96th floor.

A terrific day.  We put about 7 miles on our sneakers, but well worth it.  On to Indiana tomorrow.
